Biocompatible Inline Check Valves

• Biocompatible and Nonmetallic
• Low Cracking Pressure
• Excellent Chemical Resistance
• 1/4-28, 10-32 and 1/4-28 to 10-32 Versions

Like our Standard 1/4-28 Inline Check Valves, our Biocompatible Inline Check Valves provide excellent backflow protection for sensitive equipment with outstanding chemical resistance. In addition, their metal-free composition makes them perfect for use with corrosive fluids or biological samples.

They function well in both low and high pressure applications, and their low internal volume (click “Compare Specs”) allows them to be used where flow path volume is critical. Even so, higher flow rates will pass through with very little pressure drop.

Maximum reverse pressure rating for all is 2,000 psi. Going higher than this rating may cause future performance problems.

NOTE
: Cracking Pressure is 1 psi (.07 bar) for all our Biocompatible Inline Check Valves except the CV-3500, which is 8 psi (0.6 bar). Each created 30 psi (2.1 bar) backpressure at a 50mL/min flow rate with room-temperature water as the solvent.

CV-3500 Microvolume Inline Check Valve
Direct connect the CV-3320 or CV-3321 to any 1/4-28 flat-bottom port for trouble-free backflow protection. If you use a pump after your analytical column, consider placing a CV-3320 Check Valve after the column to prevent fluid from flowing backwards. This product also offers a nonmetallic alternative to our CV-3010 (click “Alternate Parts”) in sparging applications where the mobile phase may prove corrosive to CV-3010 components.

The CV-3335 Inlet and the CV-3336 Outlet Check Valves allow for connecting up to 1/8” OD tubing into 10-32 coned ports intended for 1/16” OD tubing. Use both of these when attaching larger volume sample loops to an analytical-scale injection valve. This setup limits the sample flow into the loop to one direction, minimizing backflow and sample carryover.

The CV-3340 is useful in virtually any high pressure fluid pathway using 1/16” or smaller OD tubing where limiting flow direction is desirable.

The 1/4-28 flat-bottom internal ports in these Biocompatible Inline Check Valves will accommodate 1/16”, 1/8” and 1-3mm OD tubing, depending on fittings selected. Select from Flangeless, Super Flangeless™ or Vacutight™ Fittings.

The 10-32 coned female ports accept our Fingertight and SealTight™ Fittings. They will also accept NanoTight® Fittings and NanoTight Sleeves for connecting capillary tubing. We do not recommend metal fittings, which may damage the ports.

Before connecting tubing and fittings into the internally threaded end of a check valve with external threads, tighten it 1/4 turn past finger tight into its receiving port with a 9/16” wrench (such as our A-305).
